Natsumi Sunada
Natsumi Sunada is an emerging glass artist specialises in ‘Kilnforming’ by which glass is heated in a kiln and its form is changed. Fascinated by the unique texture of sea creatures, coral and stones, Sunada makes her works by using different glass powder and natural pigments of Japanese rocks and soils. The subtle variations in colour and the transparency of glass create a dynamic interplay between light and shadow.
