Gaku Nitta
Gaku Nitta's love of pottery originates from his previous experience as a lighting technician for film crews on a number of food programmes. Seeing food transformed by its presentation, he decided that he would create his own work, always keeping in mind the way in which it will be used in combination with food. His thoughtful, friendly nature is reflected in the easy going style of his pottery. Using pretty green and blue glazing combined with earthy browns make his work appealing to a wide audience. As a result, it is popular amongst restaurant owners who want to give their customers a unique dining experience.
